Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE)

Would you know what to do if you ever found yourself in an active shooter situation?  The CRASE course is designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy which provides strategies and guidance for surviving an active shooter event.  Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, and demonstrates examples of things to do in case of an active shooter event.  The CRASE course last approximately three hours.

Stop The Bleed

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and a call to action.  No matter how rapid the arrival of professional emergency responders, bystanders will always be first on the scene.  A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes, so quickly stopping the bleeding is critical.  The Stop the Bleed course last approximately 1 ½ hours.

Hands-Only CPR

Sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in the United States with over 350,000 deaths per year.  Early recognition, followed by immediate action is crucial to the survival of the victim.  Students will learn the signs of cardiac arrest, perform high quality chest compressions and the proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).  The Hands-Only CPR course last approximately 30 minutes.
