Dr. Rosa Cuenca will be Featured Speaker at Annual Meeting of American College of Surgeons
Dr. Rosa Cuenca, Surgical Oncologist at Northeast Texas Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery, PA, will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Annual Meeting of the North Texas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Dr. Cuenca is a past Chapter President and currently serves as a Governor and Board Member with the ACS. She will be speaking on Cancer: Navigating Surveillance of the Cancer Gene Positive Patient.
The American College of Surgeons is dedicated to improving the care of surgical patients and safeguarding standards of care in an optimal and ethical practice environment. Local chapters work in conjunction with the College to provide outstanding networking and educational opportunities, along with professional development resources through chapter meetings, conferences, and community outreach.
The Annual Meeting serves as an opportunity for members of the ACS to complete continuing education for all North Texas Chapter Members, spanning from Lubbock to East Texas. This year, the event will be held in Tyler, encompassing the new Physician Residency program through the University of Texas at Tyler.
Dr. Cuenca has served the residents of Northeast Texas since 2007. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. Her extensive training includes a two-year clinical fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Endoscopy as well as a two-year NIH Laboratory Research Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute Buffalo, New York. She is currently serving as the Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Medical Staff Dyad Partner for the TRMC Oncology Service Line (CancerCare at Titus) and the Medical Director for the Center for Women’s Health at Titus.
