Biography

Born in Nacogdoches, Texas. I have lived in Mt. Pleasant since 1962 ( Second Grade). Graduated MPHS in 1973. I went to Austin College in Sherman Texas for an undergraduate degree and to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for Medical degree and FP Residency. I married Becky Weise in 1980 and we have 4 children ( John Meriwether of Austin, Allison Rogenmoser of Alexandria, LA, Kemberly Peyton of Dallas, and Paula Meriwether of Stillwater, OK. and two wonderful grandchildren) I have been in practice in Mt. Pleasant since 1984. I have also served on the MP City Council from 1991 to 2011 and have been Mayor of MP since 2011.
